Performed at a very swanky place just outside of NYC after a long day and long night at the Kriss household in Long Island. To the Kriss family–thank you for your welcoming attitude and kindness. Awesome story about your home:
Looking for a place to raise their young, growing family, Mr. and Mrs. Kriss found a home in Long Island that was close to perfect. Literally everything they wanted and more for their kids to grow up. In speaking with the current owners, it was clear that they could not afford such a place.
The wives spoke inside while the husbands spoke outside, both having time to connect with the other. They expressed their values and connected on levels deeper than the shallow conversation normally found in business dealings. They bid each other good bye, knowing that they may never speak again. The price was simply too high.
At the urging of the agent, they bid on the home. Unfortunately, they could only offer so much and dramatically underbid the home. As expected, the bid was not accepted. They rebid only marginally higher and to their surprise, they took it!
Only later did they find out that the original owners were founders of a major toy company. Money was no issue to them. The family said that they wanted their house to take on the new life that they once saw with their own children, now grown and moved away. The Kriss family made such an impression that the family was willing to lose money on their home.
I cannot help but think that the Kriss family still has that same spirit as everybody in the family is kind, funny, and down to earth. Thank you for letting us share YOUR home!
