Well we just finished up an awesome couple of days some complete strangers (at least to some of us)! I’m down here in Orlando and Aaron worked it out with some friends of his (the Steins) a place for the group the stay. And somehow they agreed! Just 6 random guys and a camera guy (of which they knew 3) just rolled up in a cheap rental minivan and into their lives. Again, we return to this theme of sincerity and music.
This home, by the way, is a central hub for fellow a cappella constituents 4 2 Five. Check them out! Lots of fun.
So again we find ourselves sharing a few scheduled seconds with these people. We ate, we drank, we sang for them. But the perhaps least spoken and most important part of the trip was singing for the neighbor. She’d had a pretty horrible trauma recently, walking in on a deceased friend. Sparing the details, she needed some life and some music. I’ll never know how much of an affect it had on her, but somewhere I believe it’s at least something for her to “hang her hat on” so to speak. Something else, you know? Like when you are swimming and get tired and can finally put your elbows up on the ledge.
So, thank you Steins, we hope we were able to show you the gratitude you deserve!
Next stop…the Virgin Islands!
